Kurt Valenta is the Creative Director at Oregonian Media Group.

A native of Pittsburgh, PA with over 25 years of experience in advertising and design, Valenta is responsible for Oregonian Media Group’s brand development and communication services.

Prior to coming to Oregonian Media Group, Valenta served as Senior Art Director at Marcus Thomas, LLC in Warrensville Heights, OH. While there he worked on accounts for Sherwin-Williams, GE, Momentive, Swagelok, MTD and TimkenSteel. For more than eight years, Valenta worked at Brunner in Pittsburgh as Creative Director of Design. At Brunner he branded CONSOL Energy Center, home of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and won numerous national and regional design awards for clients Atlanta Bread Co., Bob Evans, Cub Cadet, Phillips Respironics and Zippo. For twelve years, he owned and operated his own boutique design business on Pittsburgh’s South Side.

Kurt holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Design from Carnegie Mellon University. He lives in Stow with his wife Reagan along with their Pomeranian, Norman and two freeloading cats. Their son lives in Oklahoma, while two daughters are seniors in college.
